"Tree of life" is small villa have 12roomes in Siem Reap, Cambodia with remains of world heritage site Angkor.
It was 2001 that I visited Cambodia for the first time.
At that time road to Siem Reap from border of Thailand was unpaved and Electricity was not equipped.
There ware free range chickens and ducks which are kept loose walking around the house, which is heartwarming scenery for me. When evening came a little cowherd boy thought to be the primary school kid took his cows head homeward. Bare-footed children with bright big eyes and they were covered with dirt had carefree laugh. Every scene is unforgettable. More than anything else, after the rain a beautiful rainbow above the horizon was really touches my hart.
In those days road of Thai border to Siem Reap take 8hours in the rainy season, also 6hours in the dry season by pickup truck. But now it takes only 2hours because road is beautifully paved.
I had a many shocks and new discovery, the encounter that I cannot forget even if time passes in famous world heritage Angkor vat.
When I visited the Angkor vat for the first time and it showed the figure in the distance, I don't know why but tears come and some kind of nostalgia welling up in my mind. It might be I recalled the something from memory of my the previous life.
And I was feel " I want live this place someday." Time of ten years passed from that my dreams come true now.
Along the way to the establishment of "Tree of life", I had a lot of fateful encounters and many mysterious incidents. But too many to mention here.
I want to let you feel the impression that I felt for the first time in Siem Reap. Because of such thought I started "Tree of life". I hope assist your wonderful experience in Angkor Siem Reap. It will be my happiness.
